Product details change. This page was checked against Wispr Flow's official website or documentation on 2026-08-17.

Yes. Wispr Flow has a $0 plan for individuals, and eligible students can claim a separate $0 annual Student plan with unlimited dictation.

The regular free plan

Flow Free provides core voice-to-text across Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android. Wispr's current documentation says weekly limits can vary by platform and signup cohort. Some new desktop users see a 2,000-word soft cap with a higher hard cap, while iOS has a lower weekly allowance.

Because these limits are being tested and can change, check the usage display inside your own account rather than relying on an old screenshot.

The free student plan

Eligible students can claim an annual Student plan for $0 with no credit card required. Official documentation describes it as unlimited dictation and annual-only. Verification must be completed on desktop or the web, even when the offer is shown in the iOS app.

This is different from a discounted Pro price. Some students may see a lower Pro price, while the dedicated Student plan remains free. Read the plan name and checkout total before confirming.

Does free include every feature?

No. The regular free plan is designed for light usage and evaluation. Pro adds unlimited regular dictation, Command Mode, priority support, and early access. Product availability can also differ by platform; for example, the Notetaker has been advertised for Mac first.

Do you need a promo code?

No code is needed for the standard free plan. Student eligibility is handled through verification. Promo codes, when active, generally add trial time rather than reduce the subscription by a fixed percentage.
