Wispr Flow is officially available for Android through Google Play. Wispr currently labels the Android app as beta, meaning it is usable while features and refinements continue to roll out.
Install from Google Play
Search Google Play for “Wispr Flow” and confirm the developer is Wispr Inc. Install the app, sign in using the same account method you use on other devices, and complete the language and dictation tutorials.
Required permissions
Android setup requests permission to display over other apps and accessibility access. These permissions let the Flow Bubble start dictation and insert text in another application's active field.
Review the Android disclosure before enabling accessibility access. Do not enable unrelated accessibility shortcuts unless the official setup specifically asks for them.
How mobile dictation works
The onboarding demonstrates tap-to-dictate and push-to-talk. Test both in a notes app, then try messaging, email, and browser fields. Some secure or custom text fields can restrict insertion even when ordinary fields work.
Subscriptions sync across devices when you use the same account. Official pricing documentation says Android supports the same main plans, though purchase and management may route through Google Play.
If setup fails
Restart the app after granting permissions, confirm the Flow overlay is allowed, and check that Android has not removed accessibility access during battery optimization. On a managed phone, your organization's policy may block overlays or accessibility services.
